if I were to help grow your influence on Steem through voting or delegation, what would you focus on doing with it in the future?
I would focus on doing with it what this blockchain is supposed to be all about, which is incentivizing proof-of-brain behavior by curating and engaging with content creators. If you are asking me if I would power down and leave, no, I wouldn't, at least I wouldn't leave... Maybe in the very distant future 10-20 years, I would start taking 50% of the profit out instead of powering it up, this profit would allow me to live off of STEEM. But imho this is not a bad thing, yes it increases the sell pressure and the price more easily drops, but at least it gives an opportunity for new accounts and new adopters to get in, it decentralized the SP through all the accounts. And I would always keep a % of the SP to increase my account, because I think that having stake in this blockchain is very very important, we might very well be getting SP that will give us and our future children and grandchildren income!
Also, I'm changing degree to computer science this year, and I want to aim at building this decentralized ecosystem that we are starting with cryptos, so, having my own SP would be very profitable in the future, ...
PS: The amount of content in these comments is overwhelming!
I don't think you'll regret that degree change decision somehow.

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to regret either... I was studying Veterinary medicine, and I enjoyed it but I didn't love it, I saw no future for me, I wasn't even that happy, but with computer science, coding, programming, I feel that so many new doors and paths open for me, I feel like I'm doing more to help further our society and our species...
