Someone once told me that get your own finance in order before you start being altruistic with strangers on a blockchain. I sort of get that but at the same time I wish things didn't have to be that way.
A little 'give back' in an altruistic manner, even as an impoverished soul yourself, may result in greater reward than ever imagined...in my opinion.
I too, share much of your sentiment @acidyo ... and in answer to your question:
AskSteem: if I were to help grow your influence on Steem through voting or delegation, what would you focus on doing with it in the future?
Of course I would find a way to help support what I deem 'worthy' recipients whether they be individuals or groups, to 'share' in whatever financial rewards that I might gain here on the block-chain (particularly Steemit) Regardless where they may reside, race, color or religion...
Though in my daily existence, I 'try' to remain as unbiased and attuned to the suffering of others on this planet...their misfortunes (especially the innocents) through no fault of their own, I'm aware of my own tendency at times to be perhaps a bit too critical.
Anyway...I just 'like' helping 'others' if it is within my ability to do so.
Many Regards,
Ciao
