AskLeo - Should HBD Become an Exchange Currency?

in #askleolast year

A Bank of England (BoE) digital pound will be a “complete restructure” of the current financial system and can give the government more control on how people use their money, a financial analyst warns.

Does anyone remember when the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sunak, or whatever the fuck his name is, was hailed as a "pro-crypto" politician before he got elected? Nobody?! Well, I certainly do. I tend to remember the negative stuff better than the positive, and right from the start, I had a feeling that this guy is more aligned with the elites rather than being a true advocate for Bitcoin.

Britcoin is currently being promoted as a "complement to cash," but don't be fooled. Sunak, who is closely tied to the World Economic Forum (an unelected organization with significant influence), will eventually push to phase out physical cash, leaving the Brits with nothing but a centralized digital currency (CBDC) version of Britcoin. This pattern is not exclusive to England; it's happening worldwide.

Brazil's CBDC pilot includes functions to freeze and unfreeze wallets, as well as functions to move, mint, and burn funds. This is what we would call programmable. Programmable money does not have any of the pedigree traditional cash has, it's way worse.

Here's why... WEF Demands Govt’s Urgency Abolish Cash and Introduce Social Credit Scores. Couple that with CBDCs and you'll find yourself trapped in a digital prison sooner than later. Do you know what's not programmable money?

HBD is... HIVE and HBD are not programmable money. Even USDT is somewhat controllable by Tether, as the company has the ability to freeze funds when necessary. However, no one can freeze your HIVE or HBD. If anyone disagrees, I'm open to hearing their arguments.

You see, Hive is a decentralized blockchain that allows individuals and communities to build decentralized economies on top of it. This not only gives people the opportunity to participate in the early stages of decentralized social media but also be part of a decentralized economy.

Some of us are already sustaining ourselves with the rewards we earn on Hive, and in the future (probably a few years from now), there will be many more who choose to spend HBD for everyday expenses instead of relying on centralized CBDCs that we might be forced to accept. This is when things will become truly interesting, and Hive will have the chance to shine as a decentralized alternative to the highly centralized social and economic systems of today.

We have already witnessed valuable applications being developed on this blockchain, lives being transformed by Hive, and so on. Projects like @leofinance are still in their early stages of development, and we need to consider the utility of HIVE stablecoins (such as HBD and possibly a stablecoin backed by @leofinance).

Imagine having a debit card loaded with HBD that you can use at any store worldwide, effectively giving the middle finger to the corrupt and highly authoritarian political and financial systems. The question now is: when will this become a reality?

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

While there are a spectrum of opinions on the matter, my view (shared I suspect by millions of UK citizens) is that the man is at best amoral, and at worst utterly evil.

As chancellor, when the covid lockdowns were forced on us he cooked up rules that left three million small businesses forbidden to operate, but excluded from all government support. When challenged on this, he just said "Three million ? I don't recognise that figure ?" The little shit actually wanted 3 million families to starve to death.

When he was installed as Prime Minister, it was without any mandate from the electorate, against the wishes of his own party, and supported only by the WEF and it's proxies. While I wouldn't advocate violence, I still live in hope that he'll be only the second British Prime Minister in history to be assassinated while in office.

Anything and everything he does is to the detriment of the British people, and for his own enrichment.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sometimes sees violence as a resort to fixing shit that's more than obvious.

However, no one can freeze your HIVE or HBD. If anyone disagrees, I'm open to hearing their arguments.

Two words. Justin Sun.

Is this still possible?

No. Before the ninja minded stake could vote for witnesses

No freeze then...

My understanding is that Justin Sun tried to take control of Steemit by controlling (directly or indirectly) more than 50% of the witnesses. With Hive witnesses being voted for by members, I think that kind of attack on Hive, while notionally possible, would be far, far harder to pull off.
