🏙 Urban Sketchers Medellín #32 😁 🎨 - Lineal Park, La Frontera

in #artzone5 years ago (edited)

Hello there friends!!! 😁

This is my thirty-second post about the Urban Sketchers of Medellín, this session was at Lineal Park, La Frontera.

La Frontera, translates as the frontier in english, and this park is named like that because it's just on the frontier of Medellín municipality with that of Envigado, both part of "Greater Medellín" or as is officially know as Valley of Aburrá Metropolitan Area.

Getting there was relatively easy, taking the metro to Aguacatala Station and then picking a small bus that left you like 100m away from the park entrance.

There is a lot of vegetation in the park, and also has these structures that look like hexagonal tall houses, which apparently functioned as classrooms for workshops related to ecology etc...but look like they haven't been used in a while.

Well enough talking let's proceed to show you the drawings 😎.

It was a very productive afternoon, did many drawings and later we went to celebrate Naty's B-Day!🎉 😁

Nice sketch, melo :) It's lovely to see how the photo differs from your sketch since yours must have been done sitting down, so the railing of the bridge looks taller than it is in the photo :D The way an artist's experience frames their perspectives is a lovely touch :)

Yeah I was originally going to draw standing but got lazy and preferred to sat down haha
Thank you spidey much!! 💛😁
