I have tons of old jewelry pieces I've picked up here, there, and everywhere that I love to fix, re-purpose, and reinvent whenever I can. It's been some time since I worked with any, and felt it was overdue. I had several old charms, pen-dants, etc., and I sorted thru a bunch, last night, picking out several for cleaning and a new look.
I have been working on learning more about the healing properties of various stones, as welling as various pairings that compliment each other, and wanted to create something that could be fun and fashionable but still offer the healing benefits of various stones.
My first attempt, a ribbon pendant, didn't work out quite as I'd hoped, but after giving it a day, I like it better today then I did yesterday.
I weaved the brooch with wire and used two green shades of aventurine. I was disappointed with my results, but wasn't motivated to remove the beads and wire.
Instead I moved on to the next project.
I wrapped a metal heart charm with rainbow moonstone. Much happier with how this one turned out!
Next was a tree of life that needed some splash. I picked rose quartz for that.
The wire wrapping is fairly simple for stuff like this. It's mainly "figure it out as I go". You can find tutorials on Pinterest though, if you like to be more prepared.
Today I continued working with more pendants and charms. Today my first project was a key I wrapped with garnet.
Very happy with way it turned out! So happy, I decided to wrap another pendant with 3 different types of stone.
Happy with this one too! Now to fit them all with chain or neck straps so they can go up for sale!
Whatdya think? Do you have a favorite? All shared thought and input is greatly appreciated!
Those are all awesome! But I especially like the tree of life one! Excellent work. :)
Thanks!! They're a great way to refine wrapping skills without jumping into a huge project. Perfect for Mondays!
Really beautiful...👌👌
