My entry to @sethlinson's art contest

The idea behind this is to make an artwork depicting your face, that of a friend, family member, celebrity or even a totally random person. Drawings, paintings, digital paintings and sculptures are all perfectly acceptable and also, this is open to all artists.

Since there's no restriction on the medium and a bit of freedom on the choice of expression, I decided to try making an imaginary surreal drawing of a woman i pictured in mind.

"Surrealism" or "surrealart" is a 20th century art form where an artist or writer combines unrelated images or events in quite a strange or dreamlike way.
To explain it further in regards to art, it is understood as the art of rendering incoguous effects on images by means of unnatural or irrational combinations; simply put, it is the practice of creating something out of the ordinary.

I had mentioned in one of my posts that I'm not really a fan of imaginative drawing since i find it a bit difficult to identify myself with it, however coming across this contest made me want to think out of the box, probably to make something outside my normal routine and also get to experience the feeling of creating something new.

If you're wondering what i used in making this, it's a white cardboard paper, a black ballpoint pen, coupled with my random strokes (cross hatching).So far, i feel some sense of satisfaction making this particular piece as it is my second time trying my hands on imaginative drawing and i guess I'm in love with the outcome; thanks to @sethlinson i was able to come out of my skin once more.
