This makes me think of a mid-century design of a medieval cathedral, the perfect foil for your wonderfully stark worlds. I can almost hear my voice echoing up into the parapets, "am I alone!"
This is exactly what I was thinking of when I painted it: The big central aisle of a gothic cathedral.
