People who do not believe in the divine power of art, look into the work and see the author. People who believe in this, they always see themselves in art.
There is no search for deep meaning. If you see the meaning in the work, then it is there. He did not have to come up with the author himself. The author is not always God, he cannot foresee everything. But if the author has invested in his creation at least a piece of the soul, then this piece has every chance to give birth to real life. Unpredictable, violent and full of a variety of meanings.
Skeptics don't like it when we talk about movies and books. They say we made it all up. What the author could not be so brilliant as to put into the history such subtle parallels and hidden meanings.
But they do not understand that art is not the author. We give it ourselves. The only question is how much we respect the available data.
The ability to understand art is the first step towards understanding life. No one invented any special life, right? Nobody put a special meaning in it? But this does not mean that we can not draw conclusions. To reflect, to look for patterns, to try to get to the bottom of the truth.
When a person realizes that meaning can appear in things by itself, he will understand a lot.
What do you think about it? Friends, share with me your opinion.
Art always have meaning and intention, even if you don't even think about it when you express yourself in any way. Alike, we try to give a meaning to others pieces when we don't know the actual intention of the artist, even if we know the intention, it could mean something totally different to us. A lot of people think that there's just one meaning and intention for every piece of art, just because to have the feeling to be right. I think people should chill more~
I'm so glad that your opinion coincides with mine! So cool to find you) Thank you for your comments and participation)
Does art have to make sense?
Let me rephrase. What if noone understands the meaning of the art? Does it matter for the artist? Or is he/she only thinks about expressing the feeling?

I think that the main stimulus for the appearance of a work of art is that it is necessary for a person (artist) to express in this way that he feels that he is experiencing within himself. Whether this is done for the audience or is a kind of therapy is for everyone to decide for themselves.
The same goes for the meaning of art. A single meaning, it seems to me, does not exist. Our world is built on diversity and this applies to all spheres of our life.
