I find comparisons between Steemit and leaving cable TV- you need to look for what you want. It doesn’t come looking for you. But it gives the user more responsibility. That’s always better.

Hi dbennett, thanks for chiming in. Can you elaborate on this "responsibility" and what you mean by that? What makes it better than cable TV. How is your experience in looking for you want, can you always find it?
Sure! Well instead of turning on the television and letting it play whatever is on, news, old sit-coms, I have to decide what I'm going to watch. It has forced me to think about whether or not I really want to sit there, or do something more productive. I've also decided to watch all sorts of educational videos I can't get on cable. Who needs old shows with commercials?
So you use steem on dtube? Or what kinds of educational videos are you watching?
I’m not on dtube on the TV yet. I have AppleTV so it’s mostly youtube for now. Gardeners World is a fantastic resource. Most of BBC really. Also I watch instructional videos about any and everything. I’ve learned so much!
What do you look at on steem?
Good question. Mostly art and homesteading. There’s a decent amount of both. Some crypto news, and anything else that catches my eye. I try to balance my time between new posts and users I follow.
