I decided to switch up and make a drawing with my markers. It took me quite some time to finish it, but I wanted to take my time and not rush it. Unfortunately I did not take screenshots of my progress, because with markers you need to work fast, while they are still wet in order to blend them. Best would be to make a speedpaint, but I do not have anything to film it with :(
Here is the sketch progress itself:
You can see that in the end I outlined it with redish-pink color and erased the graphite one, because not to smudge it with the markers. But because of that after i colored everything it kinda looked dull, so I went over and outlined it with some ink. I regret only outlining the flower, because it turned out looking a bit rough and unnatural.. it was looking better without the ink. Next time may outline using some dark purple pencil instead :)
Hope you guys like it and until next time! :)
She is beautiful and I love your marker works. Really lovely artwork, hentikage. One of my favourite artworks from you :).
Thank you, @scrawly :)
Markers are very fun to use, it is so satisfying when they blend seamlessly

Thank you! Glad you like it :))
I think it looks great 😊 with how you used speed paint I’m going to assume time lapse as I have a different definition of speed paint 😅 totally understand not stopping to take process photos, it’s been forever since I’ve used markers (or done anything analogue at all 🤣) but I do remember having to be quick to be able to blend before they dried.

yes, speedpaint = timelapse :3
Indeed with markers you need to work fast and within the drying time window. I have never used Copic Markers, but they do look very juicy, so with them maybe will be easier to blend and have more time to do it. :) But for now no money to make such a huge investment XD
They are pretty pricey :S they're damn nice markers though
Initially, yes. But the good thing is that they are refillable - at least the copic sketch ones. Fun fact: In japan they are double cheaper than everywhere in the world xd So if I ever go there I know I will splurge on them markers :D
Sounds like time to plan a holiday? 😜
