RE: Are We Becoming More Robotic? Are Robots Becoming More Human? - The Delicate Quandary and Relearning The Art of Mindfulness

I get tired of this naggy nonsense. I have a different perspective that might help to explain why I am tired of it. I grew up in the 80s, and I was absolutely in love with computers. Everyone told me that I would 'get square eyes' and 'why don't you go outside and play?'. Well, actually, I quite liked riding skateboards as well. But you know what the main issue was? I don't like people. I don't enjoy people. Except in intimate situations with a high trust level.

Telling someone like me to stop looking at my computer is quite simply an attack on my character. And this is exactly what motivates me to spend my time peering at pixels, numbers, and code rather than the typical, brainwashed human who regurgitates old information promoted as truth by clever scumbags who want to make people like me disappear from the world.

Smiles. I conpletely understand your rants. In the article, I included another perspective from Joanna that supports your opinion.
As someone who spends hours staring at the screen everyday, false claims by self-help junkies dont move me. However, there id a need to strike a balance between automation and how mindful we are in our lives..
