Step by Step working of my first COLORED PORTRAIT

in #artguildph7 years ago (edited)

This is my first time using colored pencils on portraiture, at first it is really difficult for me because I am a graphite artist and I do not know much abput blending colors. The skintone really challenged me, it is the most difficult part in colored portrait.

I started making a sketch of my subject and it took me an hour. After sketching I firstly work on the eyes 👀👀👀

After doing the eyes, which is my forte.
I started doing the nose: 👃👃👃

The face is done!

I have finished the face yet another challenged came, making the hair and making it look realistic. Making hairstrands in graphite portrait is so different in making hairstrands in colored pencils, it is so difficult to follow the strands correctly or accordingly to the reference. But this challenge made me more determined.💪💪
I did my best doing the hairstrands and I am satisfied by the result.

After doing the hair strands, I just did a random shirt because I do not know what shirt should I draw to my portrait, I decided to use only black in the shirt.

After all the challenges I have finished my work and this is the product! 😁😍😍❤

I am surprised by the product, I am not expecting that I can do this.
