Art - Portrait using Colored Pencil

Good Day Steemit. As you witnessed my life in steemit you see my portrait artworks started in my First time to draw an portrait. I really want to know how to draw a Portrait. So Iam asking other artists who are good in portrait that "How to make a Good Portrait?". Iam decided to learn how to draw it.

*Dont stop what you are doing as long as you get your Goal.Keep Steeming*.

So Iam always practicing a portrait.

And here I show you guys my progress in drawing a portrait.Ill try an Colored Pencil Portrait.(Maybe Iam better in this style than Charcoal)

Whos this girl I draw? She is my GirlFriend her name is Jeisselle Larito Intong and Iam proud to shout here in steemit that I love her very much. And I inspired to draw her because tommorow our 37monthsary.

Back to my Drawing.

# My Materials I used.

2B Staedtler Pencil

Vellum Board 200gsm

Eraser

Faber Castell Colored Pencil

Ruler

Grid App.

# STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

First, I used Grid app to make an guideline in my Picture that I draw.
Then Using ruler I make a 1inchx1inch box. In the whole Vellum board Ill make a 11x8.
And I started to sketch the outline of the face using 2B Staedtler.

After I erased all the grid line inside the face and started to sketch the details of the face.(I sketch it smoothly because I will erased it again later)

Most of the artist they started always in the eyes like me. So here I started to used my Colored pencil.
In the detail of the eye I used light red for the small space in the middle to make the eyes like shining star and the big space I used color white.
In eyebrow I used first brown for the based color then Black for the small hairs.

In the skintone I took up lot of time to do this. I stroke it smoothly because I do a 3layers color in the skintone to blend the colors.

First I used a color Peach in the first layer, next is brown the main color and lastly Dark brown.(Dont make it faster because if you stroke it hard the color are like a line not a skintone so make it slowly)

Next in the Nose, I erased the sketch line and draw it using brown. Its same procedure in the skintone.

Drawing the skintone in the cheek.

Next I started to draw the lips.
I used again 3 layers of colors. First this part I used a Red pink Color.

Then I used color red in the second layer and Dark red for the dark parts of the lips.

And started to again the skintone in the space area. Then its done in the face.(Dont worry about the light colors. I adjust in later)

Next I started to sketch her neck. And draw the skintone. (Same procedure in all skintone but in this part I used some Color black because in this part was darker than in the face area)

After I started to draw her shirt. In this picture she wearing a white T-shirt so I used color gray in the shadows and some blend colors to make it shined.

And this part is the very hard for me. I dont know why iam not good in drawing the hair.
So first I sketch the outline of the hair and draw the ear.

I started in the bottom of the hair. (Iam trying some blending colors) And Again I used 3layers of colors and stroke it smoothly to blend the colors.

So in this part I show you what color I used in 3layers.
First I used a Golden Brown in the based color of the hair.

Next is I add some Brown for the colors of her hair.

And lastly is color black for the Basic color of the hair.(Hehe Just trying some blending colors in hair)

Then other part of the hair. I make a space for color Golden brown to make the hair was shined and to see it 3D.

And Lastly I add some colors. Adjust some hair. Also write my signature to finish this drawing.

Also I make a GIF for the process of my Drawing. It was cool to see a process of my drawing in GIF.
