having the qualities of surrealism; bizarre.
sur·re·al·ism
a 20th-century avant-garde movement in art and literature that sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind, for example by the irrational juxtaposition of images.
Tip of the hat to the special sponsor and guest judge: @vachemorte and someone I haven't referenced recently, but still appreciate: @ccommons.art.
I really enjoy creating and working with images of human bliss and the Buddha(s) is one of my faves. I also really enjoy creating surreal images. I'm so glad I stumbled back into the ART EXPLOSION world today.
This is my submission for ART EXPLOSION WEEK 33:
I started with an image of Buddha that I had worked on a couple of years ago that turned out being pixelated and didn't communicate what I had wanted it to.

I overlaid it with an image I created from the one above:

Then, inverted the overlaid image in Photoshop.

Then played with opacities and cut the image out. I placed it on a black background and pulled from the digital files I had created and used when creating the green Buddha image in another medium, adding a halo, and fractal halo.
After the addition of the bubbles I had used in some of my first generations, it is complete. The final image was not where I was aiming, but I love how it turned out!

WhenI got rolling on Buddha creations for #artexplosion, I found I couldn't stop... Apparently, it got Buddha rolling too!

How the image was created:
For my entry, I first obtained a 3D image of Sakyamuni Buddha.
Then, added a fractal background created using Geokone.
Then replicated, colorized, and layered the Sakyamuni quadheads and added a smaller version of the same fractal I used for the background as the Anahata (heart chakra).
Then turned them into a ball and added a shadow.
The last step was to add it to a gravel road in Asia.
