They call me "GIF" but my name is "MOTION ART"

in #art6 years ago (edited)

Did you know that GIF means Graphics Interchange Format?
Of course you knew, sorry for that. The format was created some time ago, in 1987, by an american computer scientist. Nowadays it is quite popular and these compressed images can be found all over the net.
To the contrary of many people who just grab images from the net to make their animations, I always worked exclusively with my own artwork. About 2 years ago with the arrival of the Plotagraph software it was made easy to animate things without being a great technician.
The challenge consisted from now on in finding an answer to the question: "What are you going to animate?"
I consider this a a new kind of art-form that needs to be popularized among the art-community and therefore call it MOTION ART
I make these works in the mp4 format that allows to add sound and layers...to show some here on steemit I have to change it into this gif format.

So I'm going to show you first the static artwork and then it's animated sibling with a piece made in 2016 named
"AUGMENTED"

This one is called "BLIND DATE" and the artwork is dated from 2002

And here comes "BIRD FLU" from 2005

Your art works are best described using the word 'wow wow'
Nice one

Just an advice though, perhaps you can include your process pictures (i mean pictures of how you create your artworks), will make it look beautiful. And maybe the idea behind them

Kudos. Thumbs up

Thanks for your feedback...I'm quite skeptical about these "how it was made" pictures...all that counts is the final result...and concerning the idea behind, most of the time the title gives the explanation...

Inspiring me!

Inspiration...most important software situated at the right side of your brain!

Just awesome.
