RE: Viva Fidel!

Look in a mirror when you make statements like that one ;)
btw, I am not a communist. I have freed myself from labels like that. I am on a side of good and truth. This man, Fidel, took up arms and has freed his country from US puppet dictator and from US companies that have been looting his country and because of that he deserves respect. If you bother to check news from Cuba, you would see that people out there mourn his loss.

Then again, maybe this is inevitable clash of cultures. You were raised in one ideology and you think that there is nothing better because you have been told that your entire life. Just like religion, there is not much difference.

I despise liberal capitalism since it is destroying my country in the same way Cuba was being destroyed. Banks and western companies have looted everything and now they want to steal our natural resources and cut us, residents, from it. In the same time they are installing puppet politicians that doesn't represent the will of the people. We are slowly becoming economic slaves of your "glorious" western civilization. I don't see any oppressive ideology like communism, fascism or liberal capitalism as a solution. I see freedom in self reliance and escape from any economic influence.

And Fidel, he did just that. He freed his country - So I salute him. Maybe you would see the truth if you were in same situation as many other countries that have suffered under EU/USA looters.

Cuba and Iceland are sadly only two truly free countries in the world today.

Sort:

no mirror reflects enough dimensions to give me a productive view.

deifying violent fruit loops is not what i would call good or truth.

there are all kinds of idiots in this country and that, who mourn things they don't understand, all the time.

just because i see the reality of the brutality of a sociopathic dictator, doesn't mean i'm glorifying "liberal capitalism", so you might want to reign in that straw man argument. you couldn't possibly guess what i think, or how i was raised.

there is no freedom in the world today. not for the ruled, and not for the rulers.

if you could step outside of yourself, for a moment, you may see that in your statements, you have committed everything of which you have accused me. examine yourself in the mirror, before you get too self righteous.

I don't agree with you on so many levels and probably never will. This here, between you and me is a clash of different cultures and it will not be resolved in next millennia. I won't even try to change it now.
