Igun Street, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. ------ Igun Street, is a paradise for Benin art works and it is the boiling point and the home of Benin art and craft. And as one enters the street, through the arched gateway with the inscription that says, “Home of Guild of Benin Bronze Casters: World Heritage Site”, one might be awestruck at the artistic motif on display at various shops. From the beginning to the end.
These shops, have in full display of the Benin artworks, paintings, and bronze sculptures carved and hand-made by the local artisans and it consists of the 32 guilds of the Oba of Benin Kingdom.
