Art is thought indeed. I'd also like to add: when perceived, it should stir our mind to an uplifting spectrum and bestow good, positive feelings upon us. This is also the reason why I hardly consider blood and sperm stained performances as a work of art. But, on the other hand, if it makes someone feel awesome... why not :) Very good post, indeed.
