'In-between, Somewhere'
When first looked at, this photograph proves to be somewhat confusing. It is actually a very simple photo but it doesn't appear so at all. What is there? :) The two elements supporting strong perspective are very brutally cut from the surroundings. Their meaning is not clear. The element in the middle defeats the perspective. The absence of the background even furthers the ambiguity. It appears as if the entire foreground is composited on a white sheet of paper. Even though the perspective is strongly accentuated by the lines, they don't help much in determining it. Interesting, eh?
For a start, this is a single take. No compositing, no double exposures. It is taken as it is. What's more, even though it may appear to be a two-dimensional drawing, it is not that, either. :) I'll reveal the secret in a moment. Before I do that, take a look at the gradual tonality change from left to right on the top element. Look how nicely the soft light gets darker. It is not the case on the bottom element. The light is quite strong and even. We have two different light treatments in a single photo.
So, here it comes. The middle element is a painting on a transparent glass between the two roofs. And now, when correctly observed, everything is back in its place and the perspective is correct, right? :)
Enjoy! :)

In the beginning, this photo really knocked down. The brain is trying to understand how this is possible? :) Only after a while I had a theory of this. And after I read your message completely, "puzzles are formed." You really managed to make the photo unusual.
I once again make sure that the perspective and perspective have a decisive significance for the creation of photographs. I used to know a guy who was able to take pictures admirably. I did not have a "fashionable" and expensive camera. He had an ordinary cell phone with a camera. The camera by the way was not super cool, there is no cheap mobile camera. But he did such interesting pictures that no one believed that these pictures were made on a mobile phone. The quality was not always ideal, but the photos were delightful. And he had a friend with a great photo. It was expensive and professional. But his photos were bad. That is nothing ordinary. On such people we say "hands grow out of ass" :)
Talent for the photographer is of great importance!
Thank you, I liked it
For centuries people gathered around a campfire, the central city square, eating together and expelling each of them, and this has become one of the most common things to do.
Now that little is beginning to shift, many older people are losing and talking about technology. The illustration above is true, but also the way we tell the story has changed. One of the media to tell in the present era is digital photography.
A photo that has the ability to show emotions, passions, narrations, ideas and messages are important elements of a "story telling" activity. Of course telling a scientific story about things that just happened. A good storyteller or storyteller must have learned how to talk and apply them. Here are some tips to tell a story about photography.
My focus is drawn to the castle in the middle, surrounded by black. To upper left of the castle is a 'Star of David', to the upper right, we see a Crescent Moon. I know you don't live in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, but it looks like you are making a statement about two of the world's two great monotheistic religions: Judaism and Islam, among other things. Am I even close?
This is the official Coat of arms of Zagreb, Croatia's capital. We have always been open to all religions. :)
I didn't know that. Fare enough, so I guess the insane 'Ustasha' during WW2, where a true aberration to how Croatia has always been, Some time I really would like to visit Jasenovac.
Wow! It's really cool! The first time I looked at your photo, I did not understand how this is possible? But then, there were several theories, I also thought that it was just a poster or just a beautiful picture on canvas. But you really surprised me, it's a great idea. This photo reminds us that sometimes it is necessary to tear yourself away from the phone and look not only around, but also up. Thank you for what you are doing, with your photos the world is getting brighter.
I thought it was a white wall with a painting, only that: "Who's gonna paint what looks like an inverted roof on a white wall?" Haha! You got me.
Even with the explanation, it is still a freaky photo :D
Stunning shot @velimir - On first glance, when looking at the middle - ie. the break between the top and the bottom half of the photo, they look like hinges? - As if those white lines are light streaming through the gaps... Very curious indeed ;)
That is such a cool effect. I almost feel like I could grab a ladder and climb up to another world. It makes me think of Jack and the Beanstalk. What treasure could be hidden in that tiny village above?
