'Luminous Direction'

There are many directions one can take in life. Some people argue that we have no free will and we don't have a say in the events of our lives; some other say that our free will is limited by circumstances; while some other will not accept anything but believing to have nothing less than total control over their life. All of these theories are valid in a way but none is completely correct or incorrect for that matter, as none can fit all situations. As soon as one starts thinking about it outside of a box and examines it from a few different sides, becomes easy to notice the change in perspective. Therefore, I believe the question of free will is way more complicated than we are able to accept on both sides of the debate. Whether we have free will or we don't, what I know for sure is that we may set our minds on positive outcomes and follow the path of light. And this is what I want to convey by this photograph.

The low sun reflecting off the street's surface painting it in gold and bronze, as if showing the right way! What is especially like is the rays coming down and "cutting" the horizontal lines of the street, lighting them up and opening a completely new path, new dimension of the thought. Sometimes, I wish some grand light opens up a new dimension in human relationships all over the world and makes everyone understand we are not to listen to politicians lies but rather believe in humanity as such. In those colours!

The sun lasted for about 60 seconds and I was lucky to be there looking at it right there between those two buildings. As soon as I took this photo, it hid behind a cloud and then set behind the horizon without showing itself again. A lesson learned for me.

Walk the path of light. The time is short.

Enjoy! :)

What a perfectly timed shot. "Infinite beauty" was the first thought that came to mind. One can truly gaze into this abyss and it will never become a stare. Cheers to a keen eye and depth of imagination! Thank you for this!

I'm so amazed on some of your shot and do ask myself a question, is this guy from planet earth
Your are just awesome

Thank you for your kind comment :)

Gorgeous

Nice

What an amazing picture!

Great work! Photography is never easy. This picture reminds me of this post from a friend. He captured the sunrise at the right moment, giving it 'two eyes'.

You "took" such an amazing moment! Keep going! :D

great capture! I really love nature photos!

It takes a very good photographer to be able to time things right. You have to have a lot of patients and it seems that capturing this light in that 60 second time frame has paid off.

I think you are right about free will. It has been a great misery where I have been struggling to understand. There are many contradictions out there when it comes to free will and destiny. Maybe it's a little bit of both:)

See my suggestion below ( a book I found useful).

You may too.

Good luck

Free will is a complex and complex philosophical concept
This is a view which I have concluded by comparing the positions of a group of philosophers who agree that
Freedom is rooted in the souls of humanity and has been created on them. The first and fundamental determinism of man is freedom.
Freedom is the process of learning and gaining. The more we learn, the more freedom we gain. Through socialization within the family, school or community we learn how to speak, how to listen to what others say, learn how to think, how to write, argue, discuss, how to rejoice, fear and get angry. Without this ability to learn, which is the first freedom, and at the same time is the first necessity, we were not people in this form and the content of civilization and knowledge

But then again, what is freedom and who can be truly free? :D

A masterpiece. The light is just nothing short of amazing. I really like the sunset light, but I love the sunrise.

I'm really glad that you were in the right place at the right time for this exquisite photo.

Thank you :)

Simple but elegant shot. I looked at this photograph for a couple minutes before I read your post and tried to understand what you were attempting to convey. I'm not religious but I as soon I saw this I thought, "Here is Jesus showing the way." The road to redemption, forgiveness and salvation. It's amazing what a simple photo such as this can convey such deep thoughts. Although they never center your shots in the frame, the composition of this works, and especially after reading your post. Nice work!

Will is the primary motivation
To do anything
In life
Will is associated with a person's personality
And deep in his thinking
If you have strong will and positive thinking about things
Which you will do
In Dalk you can work in advance with some effort of course
Very nice picture I liked
Professional photography worthy of praise

Amazing image first off... Second that light is opening...it's just the politicians can't see it due to the distraction of the shadow created by their ego... I understand this post completely... keep sharing... 26184867_103143247165677_1047269814545940480_n.jpg

Great image with excellent light and texture.
I agree with your text also...
It's a combination of both, free will and fate.
We are the energy that creates us, so we are the masters of our own story...
Maybe the universe loves us (we love ourselves) so much that it gives us what we need,
rather then what we want,
maybe that's why it's an imperfect world,
to teach us to live in harmony ✊🏽

By chance I posted an artwork about light today as well...

For your consideration.

beautiful photo you have captured @velimir and very nice explanation you have shown regarding free will.yes everyone has different opinion about free will but we can handle according to the situation of our life. That street looks like it is made up of gold, but it is a nice reflection of sun.Your post also teaches us about life with photography. You are now become an expert. Thanks to share your nice thoughts @velimir.

although for some, finding the right direction might require the journey of a lifetime, i do believe there is one direction in which we are all meant to go: forward. by taking small steps each and every day, putting aside overthinking, and realizing that you have everything you need deep within, you can find the right direction

If we take into account free will as something we can do freely without problems, without consequences or without repercussions we are locked in something that can lead us to a dead end as everything we do has consequences, so it is better to follow the example of that wonderful photo (image) that reflects a path of peace and tranquility. That is why we have to choose very well what we are going to do to enjoy life without regrettable consequences, "do not regret what you do, if not what you do" Beautiful photograph @velimir.

Fantastic photos and I like the thoughts that mirror @velimir. I think your thoughts sum up many of the reasons why we use this website, hopefully we can all progress together.

As for the photo, the light is truly beautiful. I've been enjoying the dark tones in your photos lately and the various layers of light and shadow that can be seen. I think this is quite rare to see so I would like to commend you for that. I am a big fan of yours. Keep up the great work. 😌

Personally I think the broken sunrays in the uppermost part of the frame is what glues the two dark side perfectly together @velimir

Great that you were in that exact place within that 60 seconds mate!

t.

What I notice about this photo is the unlevel ground. But as you walk towards the source of light the ground seems to level out slightly. Its a beautiful parallel of life!

I believe that people tend to come up with philosophical theories about fate and the fact that we can change everything. But in reality no one will give a clear answer to this question. What you believe in and is true for you.
You know how to use the possibilities (even in 60 seconds) to make a wonderful photo. It looks like a bright path that should lead to something good, but it narrows and you should use this chance :) it also happens in our daily life - we are given opportunities that need to be used otherwise the other's chance will not be
Thank you, great photo as always

You really gave a great perspective. I recently read about an experiment in which those scientists claim they have proved that there is no free will and that all of our choices are already Made in our brain cortex. I am prone to believe that we do have free will and that we can adjust our lives to be the best we can and to strive for it.

Great shot matched with great words. That's for sharing your skills to see the natural image worth sharing as well as for sharing a great perspective on life.

I like to sway towards the belief that we are where we are because of our thoughts that stem to our actions which grows our circumstance from which we can decide. The seed of thought brought to light.

Cool pic Velimir. With regards to the debate on the true nature of free will, what do you think of the following quote by Rene Descartes: "I think, therefore I am"?

It is true. But non-thinkers are also here, we cannot deny their existence. Wouldn't be fair!

"I am what am I", is also a cool one ;)

I love these types of images. Try to straighten the shot by the midline because it's a focal point and I think it would become even more graphical and anchored. I really like that you made it a square crop. Good job!

I take photos in square format. Love that format. Not sure why. Maybe got too tired of the wide one :)

Well, the square format was often used by painters from the past. Canvases were often square. Therefore it tend make the picture more "painterly" and artful. Contrast that to wide formats / panoramas which are more cinematic and modern.

Agreed. Wide format is more "natural" because it's closer to the way we see the world. Already using a square one is a stylization.

Well, I think the hard part of following the path of light are those dark and big shadows. I truly hope that every person know that they are only shadows and the light is there, but hiding. So, lets all seek the LIGHT beyond darkness in our lifes and in all things! :)

@velimir you always add effect of darkness and brightness in your pictures and i really like it :)
brighness always overcome darkness as it is doing in this picture :)
i love your way of thinking :)

Nice one you got there.
Examining the photograph painted to my mind a view under a table with a cloth cover and the sun reflecting it's happy effect.

...examines it from a few different sides, becomes easy to notice the change in perspective.
Nice Post.
My Regards Mr Velimir.

Looks like a great one place.Traveling, exploring is one of the biggest hobbies of people. Everyone likes to see new places. Sharing this with friends and family is the most exciting part of the trip. With the emergence of social media, we have seen the interest of people to visit and see.The life of people who have been sightseeing is more meaningful. They tell people about their favorite places and they light their surroundings. So ,THANK YOU for post sir .......

All these theories are correct, however, despite this, the author of the photo has found an opportunity to make this incredible photo. In life there are many circumstances, but you can take from life what is obtained and then it will be easier to live...

The synergy created from the shot and the written description is beautiful! My favorite line is "I wish some grand light opens up a new dimension in human relationships all over the world and makes everyone understand we are not to listen to politicians lies but rather believe in humanity as such." what a fantastic point of view I couldn't agree with more. Great picture, Great writing, Great post!!!

In the game of light, it's always a short time and you only have a few seconds to create the image you wanted. In your posts, I'm fascinated by something else. It does not matter what and how you photograph, you always have photos, a written story, or a reflection that enhances the photo. I also have to learn to make my posts better

This is a stunning photo and a great opportunity that you caught there. The analogy truly works perfectly, we have to be on the lookout for the opportunities that show up and follow them while we can.

As soon as one starts thinking about it outside of a box and examines it from a few different sides, becomes easy to notice the change in perspective.

Good words and good post as usual from you!

Odlicno,sve pohvale!

not because you think you know everything without questioning, but rather because you question everything you think you know.

Even though there's no right or wrong way to live your life, there are certain universal principles that lead to a happy, wealthy, and healthy life.

nice thoughts @velimir

Great photo - it's cool to read the story behind the lens.

Nice post you got there.
Examining this photograph painted to my mind a view under a table with cloth cover and the sun showing it's charming effect.

@velimir

The light that shines on the brownish pathment looks like a passage opening and heading to heaven. It is rare to see such reflected lights.

there is nothing that is not beautiful of art all smelling of beauty and making eyes satisfied

Wow! Great shot! Well, if ability meets luck! Have a great time! Rolf

Whaha sick, I thought it was a picture of an echo of a baby :P
