One of the most ancient occupations in Sifnos island is ceramics.
People needed to store, dine or carry out various every day jobs and pottery helped a lot!
Many of the cyclades islands have this old tradition of pottery, which is also evident if you pay a visit to archaeological museums.
While I was in Sifnos I discovered this amazing pottery shop where everything is handmade, the ingredients are of top quality and they even export to Canada (!!!)... Impressive?
