Hello there, Steemit family,
Nymph is here with a new post, but wait! This isn't a drawing or a painting !
Why yes, I warned you I could do a whole bunch of other things. : D
(I sculpted the fake wood background here too, it's the base for a sculpture I'm working on)
So as I previously stated I had a very busy October, filled with daily challenges.
I took on the prompt list from the one and only Mab Graves, and after so much painting and drawing, sculpting and even jewelery work ( which I'll share in a different post) I thought "Hey! Why not making something different?" , and so I did.
I put together challenges from two different days. The first one was a "Swamp thing" and the next one was a "Raven".
I knew immediately that I wanted to try sculpting something, but had never done it before with "food".
Since I knew the recipe for Modeling chocolate, I decided to try it for the first time!

I suppose you can say the recipe worked!!! I only had to do a few adjustments.
All I had to do next was bake some cake, melt some more chocolate, pour it over the cake and use it as glue for the tiny sculptures.After that I made some royal icing ( I made this very thick because I didn't want it to be very runny).
From there on I did some work with the royal icing : D
(This was extremely fun to do!!!)
I hope you enjoy this one, it's a little different from what I'm used to do, but I always try my best to be creative in everything that I do. This reminds me I have a birthday cake to bake in two days for one of my brothers! Perhaps I should do something a little more simple than this ; ) .

If I received such a dessert, I like to frame and keep it. I would not want to eat them. You are so talented and creative, even in cakes. After you mentioned about your brother birthday cake, a lot of imagination flow inside my head hehhehe.. think of what would you going to bake for your brother birthday cake. Will it so nice until no one want to eat it like me.
Your these 4 desserts can be place in hotel for high tea purposes. It very elegant and beautiful. hmm speak of it, you should do some business with your creative cake :p. And I love chocolate very much.

I only bake from time to time : ) I don't usually get this creative because it makes a huuuuge mess, plus I still have a lot to learn :' D
I will bake the birthday cake today but will make something simple.
An english banana bread (english because of the shape of the pan) . I will try doing some spider webs with royal icing or just some tiny things with it.
I have new artwork to do and post, so I won't be able to spend that much time on it.
I got my inspiration from Christinne Mcconnell , I have her book and took the modeling chocolate recipe from there. She has a netflix show, it's only 5 episodes I think.
But if you like this you'll die once you see what she can do. Check her instagram if you have interest : )

I did, it was just a very regular looking banana bread :' D
I had no time to do anything fancy to it .
I'll most likely do another one for my oldest brother's birthday next month. : )

That is very sweet Art, while looking through the stages of the creation and seeing these beautiful handmade creatures, that made be hungry for cup of tea and cake. Love chocolates and the baked stuff you created is real good for the children’s birthday party. I am glad that Inktober still has influence on your creative nature. I am wondering what you relatives or kids (if you have them) reaction was when they saw such delicious figures on the plate :)

This is a cool way to do #inktober. I love to bake as well, though since giving up carbs I don't do it as much, but I still enjoy doing it for others. I have a friend who is crazy into Halloween and she does a big party each year and we go nuts in creating foods like this. IT's a blast to make little pieces of edible art and yours truly are amazing!

This was my first experiment of sculpting something edible : )
Well, I'm still getting used to it , these weeks have been chaotic so I didn't have the time to read all regulations and guides yet.
Wow! You are multi-talented! :) Have you eaten these sweets all by yourself? I hope you shared them with your family and they could say 'WOW! They look amazing!' ;)
I like all of them but Raven is my favorite. You did a great job with all of them.
What kind of cake did you bake? It looks like a basic sponge cake? It must have been very good with all this chocolate :)
I guess it takes a lot of time but if you can, definitely make something stunning for your brother. I'm sure he will appreciate it.

I made a very simple gluten free almond cake for the base : )
Unfortunately I didn't have much time, so I baked a very basic looking banana bread.
And everybody loved it still : ) (I shared one photo of it in some of the comment replies above if you're interested ) : )

Your Swamp Thing and raven both turned out spectacular, and even though it may have taken you out of your comfort zone, everything looks splendid. Like you should do more of it!
I hope you enjoyed eating it as much as you did making it. (I saw the bite out of the Swamp Thing cookie!)

You make really cool sculptures @thenymph and to make them using chocolates!! The line details with the swamp thing and the raven are amazing.
