I use a wacom tablet and a pen on my Ipad - you can use your finger on Ipad but it is not very precise. Mouse is just too hard.

I've heard good things about the Wacom. I did a recent project with Photoshop that required a lot of fine detail editing and doing it with the mouse was miserable.
Mouse takes too long and it is too hard. Wacom tablets are better but it is still harder than normal drawing. The ideal would be something like an Ipad Pro with Wacom doing the pen technology. I know Wacom produce something similar but I have yet to try one out.
