There is no real difference between the sketch and drawing but sketch word means quick sketch or an immediate study is done either for pleasure or as a note while drawing is finished work which has its own artistic purposes.Artists often flipps trough his sketchbook looking for in them the idea for the composition or to simply refresh your memory on some detail of the scene.The more you sketch you will have more material which serves as a reminder,and sketching helps in clearing your observing skills.
