Thanks @ferod23 I had high hopes but they are slowly dwindling down as the drive doesn't seem to be coming back no matter what, I have tried windows, mac and ubuntu and nothing seems to be able to read the disk, I think I will likely just cut my losses and claim a warranty which will mean sending this one away and just accepting what needs to be accepted. A new computer would be beneficial, thanks for your comment 😎
