In order to prevent identity theft, identity deception of all types, and content theft we like to encourage users that have an online identity, post for a website or blog, are creators of art and celebrities of all notoriety to verify themselves. Verified users tend to receive a better reception from the community.

Any reasonable verification method is accepted. Examples include:

  • A post or tweet on an established Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social media account with a link to your contribution on Steemit.
  • A reference or link to your Steemit account on your website or blog.

    @steemcleaners Very good! Glad you guys are out here encouraging good standards and authenticity. In fact I did link from my official facebook fanpage to this very post: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1454578654627740&id=111605025591783&notif_t=like&notif_id=1503262957406535

    I want to also mention that you spammed some of my other posts about my identity also. You really only need to do it once for a question of account verification. Otherwise it runs contrary to the ostensible intent of steemcleaners, eh?

      My sincere apologies. It was a mistake. I was not aware that you have been already verified by my other team members, as I am new in the team. Someone reported your profile for verification so I had to chase the report. I went to your website and didn't see the link to Steemit there. I should have checked your Facebook.

      I do this all the time, sharing my posts across social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, but sometimes also on G+ - my Facebook artist page is https://www.facebook.com/ArtistOttoRapp
