This was an installation back in April for the Enchantments Media launch party. I had fun setting this one up, it took an evening and an afternoon. If i remember correctly i used three projectors for this and a few spools of tulle and a splash of silk as surface to catch the light. While it doesn't stray far from much of the work i've done in this past, this one worked really nicely to welcome everyone into the space and set the mood. Hope you enjoy the video, and if you are ever in Austin, TX i hope you'll come out and see some of my work in person!
I also want to give a shoutout to Enchantments Media, they make a bunch of really fun videos in the realm of meditation, magic and energy work. If you are into the spiritual or the witchy ways of life but enjoy exploring these with a sense of humor this is a great channel to check out. That turned out pretty cool. Is this something that you do for work?
Yes usually the work i do is grant based, but i work for hire as well. Mostly art installations but sometimes parties, or burlesque types events.
It isn't my primary job, i work in film in production and editing for most of my work.
It seems like both of those lines of work would be something that I would actually enjoy doing! Ive always wanted to do something with film production.
film production is a grind to break into, but it is definitely a fun job. It's long hours, and inconsistent work unless you land your self a TV job/take a lot of commercial work. Follow your dreams!
I definitely would imagine that to be the case. Lol
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
