Instead of drawing dress designs manually, why not cut the shape out and fit it into different patterns? This way, you can save time and effort.
I'm gonna show you two simple steps on how to do this.

Nice painting so it's a good post for you fella painting that is fun and so beautiful in the view
Thankyou so much @ismailsteem
Your design are too good from how many times you in fashion design
The reason I do not do this is because of cloth.
Cloth does not look like that hanging on a body.
If you cut a pattern on the diagonal, it is a whole different look and movement as opposed to cutting a pattern on the straight.
Some materials you can get by with four panels. (especially if you use models who are as thick as a coat hanger) Other materials require a princess cut to lay correctly.
Ruffles and frills are all about the springiness of the cloth and the texture they show.
So, I tend to do all of this in my head, and only draw things when I need to explain them to someone else.
Somehow, this will give us some idea on what design to sketch for we could see if it is suitable for the skin color or the dress' motif itself
Anyway, thanks for dropping by! I bet you're really good when it comes to designing :) hope to see you around

You are welcome dear.
I love the bed sheet and curtain. These are amazing designes. Wish I coukd get somethibg like this. Mermaid tail dress.
Thanks @gloglo! I'm sure it'll look good on you :)
Haha thank you. I might contact you to make designs for me and if you can you can make for others and it will help you grow as a designer. I support you on this my friend.
I would love to! But I'm afraid to say that I am not a dress designer, the concept just came up by accident. But why not? If given a chance, I will take the opportunity :)
Good... I want you to be optimistic about it. Great job.
The bed sheet just requires printing the material (dying) with the specific thought of where you are going to place the pattern piece.
The curtain looks like an effect you get by layering cloth. Its not hard, but you really need a dummy with the correct hip ratio so that you can pin each layer to it, seeing that each one lays properly.
Thats great analogy but the whole art work is cook and trust me if this is a physical dress people would so marvel at it.
They're beautiful.
This kind of creativity is insanely good, is this your own idea? You have forced me to follow you hahaha Galing kabayan
Thankssss kabayan! I actually discovered this by accident days ago when one of my sketches was ripped off by my little nephew. Then I thought this would be a great idea.
