He is saying Halftones is a part of the light family. The light family in painting is as follows. Source Light Highligt Midtones Reflected light cast shadow Occlusion Shadow shadow Core shadow Subsurface scattering Refracted light and Reflected shadow.

Pff a painter is not going to use the term Halftones to describe midtones. Halftones is a term used in printing and it is a very specific term that describes the pixelitasion of vector images. a fast google will save you the embarrassment next time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halftone

I know more than just the basics. That is why I am surprised to see someone painting that good and giving lessons to ignore them. It blows my mind. I am here to correct them and not to listen to your bullshit. so if you don't want a down-vote just get lost.

Sort:

An armchair expert with no practical art experience doesn't like his "correction" being critiqued and question, yet is very generous with his own. So you're a painter are you? Perhaps a draftsman? Or just a troll who's bored?

Perhaps you should actually do some art study and training, and then practice, rather than looking up Wikipedia entries.

There are plenty of professional artists with more practical experience than you that make give the same explanation as this artist.

But, I guess you wont read this either.

Of course I will read it why would you think that I have a problem with reading. and who got you to be devils advocate. I already warned you for my downvote. I have already send an email to the official site and I wait for a reply from the artist until then you get a last warning. I am not having any issues with you.
