My new artwork: work in progress

in #art7 years ago

I'm working on a new painting: the freaky cat!

It's an oil painting on 200 gr paper and it's about a strange striped cat ^_^

Maybe in the evening (or tomorrow ^_^) I'll finish this artwork, but now I want to share with you just some pics about the work in progress of the first steps.

As you can see in the following photos, I worked on the background and on the shape of the cat, I added the face, but I'm still working on the details ^_^

See ya soon with the final result ^_^

Nice job!!! I just got to my feed... posted a new chap of the Lottery Council (shameless plug)

Good to know, dear @richq11 ! ^_^

That is a cool picture, good job. I love art but have not gotten any materials to do the work yet, so I usually do digital artwork until I can go to a canvas.

Thanks!!! me and my hubby collected art materials for many year, so now we have a variety of tools and colors, but usually I work using just 4 or five oil colors and papers ^_^

this is a lovely picture

Many thanks ^_^

your welcome

Wow I think this must be one of my favorites - has a bit of a Picasso feel about it

wow, so nice words!!! Picasso is the best for my hubby and he talk to me about him every time he can do it, maybe some of his works influenced my thoughts ^_^

Well having influence from Picasso is not a bad thing, considering he was one of the greatest artists in history who taught us how to look at art in a different way.

I find this very sweet and whimsical. I too am captivated by the eyes. I didn't know you could use oils on paper!

Thanks so much for your nice words! To use oil colors on paper is simple: just more turpentine for the mix and more exercises :)

Can't wait for the final result, I love the stylization so much!:)

Thanks! !! :)

That's great, a real calico cat!

Thanks so much :)

It's very very cute.
I love it..
Follow you.

Thanks so much :)

Thanks, but it's not 3D , just 2D :)

Thanks so much ^_^
