Tlaloc, street art Mexico

I remember when I made this mural a while ago, at the time that I was doing it many people encouraged me, they told me things like "what a good job, keep it up" or "I would like a mural like that on my wall" that was motivating and somehow encouraged me to keep doing it and improve, but there were also people who didn't like them my work, and they even came to tell me comments like "that is illegal we will call the police" or "paint something better, paint a religious image or a landscape".

I Must mention that people here in Mexico are very religious and especially Most older people do not understand or like street art

Well, there were all good things and bad things, but I am sure there must be many places where this really matters and the people like it, at the end I love street art and the graffiti. I hope to be able to do it all my life and be able to paint in other latitudes as well.

You have a good mind for light my friend!

Hey dude gracias!! I need to improve more 💪 and painting more

Held a spray can for the first time in 1994. Peaked three times to having really good control and techniques since then. I was painting a lot lately and it feels like starting from almost the skratch. You inspire me a lot and i gotta humbly say i admire your skill but i can also see it clearly. Guess we are all on a journey of becoming 😊😉..

Oh great! I suggest to you don't give up with the can control, It is hard but I think anyone can get it. Here where I live there no a lot of people doing this. 😅 Is easier when you shares techniques with the others you know

I can't believe how people didn't like Tlaloc! They wanted a religious image instead? But Tlaloc IS religious, just probably not their religion. Where abouts is this one located? I think I may have seen it, though there are so many talented muralists in this city... though not many of them on Steem.

Well, the most people here are religious, catholic to be exact, The definition of art is very subjective and as people perceive it, it has to do with the era in which they grew up or their own education, the older people wern't used to going to school where they learned about their culture and roots, but if they learned about religion from their parents, hard to explain. That's why I don't blame them for not wanting to see something they don't understand... I'm afraid this work is not in Mexico city, it is in small town near Leon Mexico

Great one... I'm sure you'll see your works in other latitudes.

That is the plan thank you! 🙏
