For an artist coming from non-digital background, as myself, this was a great challenge for me. Not easy at all. The assignment was limited to some photos I got from my mentor, and he told me to do whatever I want to get the movie poster.
Somehow, I decided to do this animated horror thriller short movie poster, showing a neighbour who is a kind of a "nice guy" but actually everyone freaks out when he shows up. LOL.
My neighbourhood has some non-friendly or polite people, and I am sure that it was just a way sublimation did it's job.
Anyways, as I easily take scissors in my hands, I decided to try to do a digital collage poster. Huh, could have done it easier just by using some tutorials, I know. But this felt good!
Well, I had fun making these characters, by cutting out all of the pieces and getting them collaged together. I mean, I am sure someone would say I used too many layers, but my computer held brave during this surgery. I learned a lot from this experience, so next time I would change a couple of things.
It would be so nice to hear a feedback from you art people, from community!
Greet your good neighbour, for good neighbour is rare species!
:)
Hello, hmm... what language is that? I am not sure about the theme because I don't understand the language. But the guy at the back should be smaller in size, for realism, no? I mean compared to the girl's size. But maybe it's an abstract theme.
That's right, he should but I wanted him to be bigger so he would look odd. There was no actual themathics, it was more like - here is the material, make something that looks good to be a movie poster for the movie you directed. Ah, maybe I shouldn't have done that with his size, as you were considering it was a perspective mistake...hm...
Thanks for the comment @tatvamasi!
Ohh, then I think it addresses the theme very well. It looks "clean"; not overdone. I don't know if I am expressing myself well but I think it is a beautiful movie poster. Some mistakes are better left uncorrected also; haha. But your call!
LOL I had fun making the story in my mind as much as I did while I made a poster! Thank you for checking it out! :)
Ahh that's great, enjoying what you do and doing what you enjoy :P
Me likey
Thank you! :))) I am so glad. Sorry for the language is serbian, and my sense of humor in serbian is really hard to translate in english :)
