I love working on sound design for film and video, especially when I have to recreate a particular style or genre. In this case, the inspiration came from David Lynch and the cult series Twin Peaks. A three-minute game of tennis specially made for the 22-nd Sofia International Film Festival in the style of David Lynch.
Recreating the atmosphere of Twin Peaks was no easy task. It has its own particular soundscapes and effects that work well in very few scenarios. Time is passing is different directions and the laws of physics obey the dream realm. The surrealism of Lynch opens the doors for new experimentations where what we see and what we hear are often a broken reflection of each other.
