Juan.... Tooth....Tree.
the name of the guy is Juan. Juan tamad or translated in english as Lazy John tamad (lazy) Juan (John) in the Philippine folklore. the story tells about a young man whos super lazy to the point of stupidity that it becomes comedic. he comes upon a guava tree bearing ripe fruit. Being too slothful to climb the tree and take the fruits, he instead decides to lie beneath the tree and let gravity do its work. There he remained, waiting for the fruit to fall into his gaping mouth.
MAKAPILI. Makabayang Katipunan ng mga Pilipino (Patriotic Association of Filipinos)
a militant group formed in the Philippines during world war II. often potrais in the Philippine movies as the collaborators of the japanese emperial army. some of the makapili are spies (if i'm not mistaken) and points the enemy to the japs, (filipino's who are againts the japanese invaders) and they were labeled as traitors. i don't know if i explained it right and clear. lol
KAPRE-CORN.
wikipedia- Kapre is a Philippine mythical creature that could be characterized as a tree giant. It is described as being a tall (7 to 9 ft), big, black, hairy,[2] muscular creature. Kapres are normally described as having a strong smell that would attract human attention. The term kapre comes from the Arabic "kafir",[1] meaning a non-believer in Islam. The early Arabs and the Moors used it to refer to the non-Muslim people. The term was later brought to the Philippines by the Spanish who had previous contact with the Moors. Some historians speculate that the legend was propagated by the Spanish to prevent Filipinos from assisting any escaped African slaves they sometimes imported from Latin-America. The Kapre itself holds a large Cigar, an item which originated from the ancient Mayans of Latin-America.[3] The similar dark skin color of escaped African slaves from Latin America have caused the former to be equated with the latter.
my KAPRE-CORN however is just a play of words. i thought of a story behind why he's called KAPRE-CORN when or if i'm going to make a manga or comics someday.
he lived in a very big tree for so long until the people came and cut off the tree he's living in and planted corn on the land. he does not leave the area and punishes anyone who dares to comes in his teritory. he lived in the corn field so the people called him KAPRE-CORN. the kapre who lives in the corn field. ok this is taking to long. long
