According to hindu mythology durga is a hindu goddess with 10 arms who rides a lion. the mythology also says that she defeated the demon - mahishasura.
Hindus worship durga every year and for 10 days. it is said that durga along with her children (ganesh, kartik, lakshmi, saraswati) comes to her maternal home which is earth during this ceremony. on the tenth day we perform a ritual called bhasan where we put the idol of durga into river. that tenth day is called - bijaya dashami - and we greet everyone saying subho(happy) bijoya.
My friend sent this to me and said she made this amazing artwork with red chilies which resembles the idol of durga.
