Kingdom by Aliya Chen on Artstation
Wow, each image on this gallery may not have taken the author a day to complete, because it's easy to see the quick brushwork. Taking into account that fact, and looking at their beauty that disregards the speed with which they were made, it's extremely easy to see that this author is surprisingly talented.
Check out the original gallery on Artstation.
Look at the color combinations on the first image. The yellowy-green grass shows excellent critical thinking; it's not the normal vegetation green but a green carrying summer heat. The shadows, the slight colors in the distance, the bright butterflies, all contribute to a feeling of fantasy. Needing a contrast, a few flying bits of blue solve the tone balance problem.
The values are also a display of great mastery. The main characters are not necessarily brighter or darker than the rest of the environment, but they do show enough contrast in light and color with their immediate contact. The girl's face, for example, would not be easily visible if contrasted with the bright batch of grass, but being put against the shadowy part, it's easy to see, and her clothes are instead darkened to a shadowy tone to contrast with the bright patch of grass.
The same phenomenon can be seen all throughout the other paintings in this gallery. Do visit the original gallery and interact with the author.
These artworks, in my opinion, depict the commonly seen struggle of a poor dreamer fighting for greatness. It's a common theme in Chinese literature (see: Wuxia/Xianxia book genres) and it's part of the new awakening of their youth. This interesting push toward a new warrior's vision of the world will surely bring interesting consequences throughout the rest of this century. It will surely be interesting to see what happens in the next 80 or so years. I will probably die before the century ends, though.
