Butterbeard, or whatever his name will be, should be ready within a couple more days of work. Next, after a bit more detail work into the wood, I'll add some more Spanish Moss, and then a few small animals, like sparrows and chipmunks and all, like I may or may not have already written about yesterday. So hard to keep track!
I like him much better with his arm up, instead of cradling the violin. It really adds movement to the piece. It makes the music present, and it also opens up the violin for visibility, which is nice.
Still haven't 100% figured out if I'm going to change the background much or at all, but that will probably depend on how he looks when the other details are finished.
Also, my teacup is nearly dry, I may get to work on that one today too. Screw chores today! I gots the inspiration!
