The second of three or four ideas I had in one day last week is begun. Billy the (goat) Kid. i think Billy himself is going to be the lesser interesting piece of this overall painting to paint. I'm going to fill the background with the backbar of a saloon - all the bottles on the shelves, etc.
He doesn't have his gun yet, but that will come soon. I'll find some more wild west things to put in here too. And lots of grain into the bar. And who knows what else at this point.
To remember the other ideas I had about the same time... Fiddler on the Root, who I posted the completed version of a few days ago, and then a Caiman Doge, if I can find the right representation (although I'm less charmed by the idea than I was. It's cute, but not spectacular) and a Stephen King tribute piece, with bits and pieces of all sorts of villains from different horrors. That too, is a maybe at this point. Inspirations really ebb and flow, even for individual ideas. I need to add to my list.
I still have a few things in progress at the moment - a couple I haven't touched in a while. Lots of work to do. Always lots of work to do. :)
