Beija Flor - Rio de Janeiro Carnival 2018 Winner

Did previously a post about Rio de Janeiro Carnival Schools Competition called:
RIO Carnival The Greatest Show On Earth
the amazing street art performance displayed live at the Sambadrome in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.

The 2018 competition was an amazing display of high quality performance and it's final was decided by decimal fractions.

The results table show us how competitive was the event

Winning by just 000.1 difference from the second place, the School of Beija Flor which it's name is a symbolic representation of the
Hummingbirds, the fascinating little bird who love to feast on flowers and are nature’s finest pollinators birds, is the School to win the 2018 event.

Beija Flor School did a magic display of sky blue and white colours through its 75 minutes performance and was highly acclaimed by the public itself as the great School of 2018.

This Sunday February 18th 2018 The School will perform again at the Winners presentation of 2018.

Women are equally represented and displayed elegance, here one of the Beija Flor School Queen.

Beija Flor School displayed a performance with a political theme against the corrupt political scene of Brazil politics, a strong critic to the actual context of Brazil which reflect direct in the context of communities and it's social differences.

With the theme title: Monsters are those unable to Love, the School cleverly uses the imagery of the famous Frankenstein, who rebel against it's creator

The Frankestein movable sculpture is an amazing piece of art, literally

Although not really my favourite School, it was indeed a great performance, still the others schools did also an amazing display of colours, light, dance, choreography, sculptures and life.

Tuiuti the 2nd position School displayed a theme about the Afro and it's slavery

The sold out sambadrome... Salgueiro, also the 2nd position School was for many the best School of the event and lost it's title for 0.001 difference
