feels like i should have been doing this all the time...
well i guees its never too late ! :D
here is my first modified and custom painted toy gun :
here are some some more creations:
take a cheap plastic-toy-gun and glue stuff on it and then paint it.
it´s more than fun!
i have this suitcase full of lego-stuff and ... to rummage around in a box like this is probably the best thing ever.
just the noise the lego does while rummaging.... hah!
it´s like heaven ! :D
here is a sneak peak into my next project - a huge and heavy 50´s sci-fi lazer-blaster :
hehe - the studio is in total chaos ! and i love it !
more to come! will make a more detailed post about how i made this guns and how i painted them - as soon as i calm down ! :)
cheers and all the best !
whooot over a thousand upvotes ??!! holy schnitzel !!! thank you all sooo much ! :O
hauke
You could rob a bank with this gun!! :D LOL! It looks realistic and dangerous. Your studio is as chaotic as any other creative place. Creativity is chaotic (in my opinion) :) Looking forward to seeing that laser gun..
BTW, how did you get to producing these things? It would be interesting to know where this idea is coming from. I wonder if you were really planning to rob a bank :D
Thank you for sharing! Have a lovely day and congratulations on your curie vote! :)
hello delishtreats thank you so much for your kind comment !
sometimes i get tired of drawing and painting and it´s almost like as if i have to go to the studio and WORK.
drawing and painting which i love so much turn into a repetitive commercialized routine.
so i really needed something to break up that routine and get my creativity rolling again and to get myself out of the bed in the morning - not to work but to PLAY! :)
starting to make this toy guns really did the job !
i got alot of inspiration and know how from this awesome youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLQUcG2Cg83PB4JAbu_pAdQ create scifi
hey and i´m not going to rob a bank ! :D
Whoa! Now this post is definitely @curie worthy, especially one that's a hobby! And yeah, yah should have been doing that for a long time~ But that's enough kakken on my part, let's get to the post!!!!~
Unto the picturas (pictures): mój Bog, is everyone on Steemit in a union to teach each other how to take good fotos (photos)? Because, gosh darnit, these are some nice looking, crisp, clear and fully detailed fotos (photos) if I ever seen one. Like windows to the actually stills/moments in time, I feel like I'm peaking through and not staring at a screen. My hands want to go beyond the screen barrier and just touch and reach out to another part of the World. Another win for #nofilter gang, welcome to the club by the way. Without any a case to mope and cry my eyes out for these fotos (photos), let's get to the format!
Unto the formatting: gotta say this that I am person that loves it when people don't have text jutting out to the side. So bonus ducks on that, but more bonus ducks with the fact that the formatting is also relatively simple and appropriate for this post. Did I mention that this post has a lot of picturas (pictures)? Well this post has a whole slew of them and I want even more of them! (And to make a small side comment to the text of the post: I love how you use emoticons, simple one sentence paragraphs especially under each and every foto [photo], that it's full of enthusiasm like the rest of the post and that it doesn't stick it like a sore thumb for this type of post.)
Unto the content itself: I love the raypunk æsthetics of that laser colt yah got in the first pictura (picture), makes me feel like it's some SF retelling of the Wild, Wild, West west now. On the second pictura, there's definitely four "fashion" show guns right there; equally so, four guns that look like steampunk-ish that's straight out of a factory and given to a Victorian state. To the third and fourth pictura, I like how you deconstruct and show the toy gun for what it is to then show how "easy" you make it look to make these :p - By the fifth (and sixth) pictura, I definitely feel what yer feeling and want to jump into that moment with yah to just play some legos with yah. The seventh pictura, yer just teasing us at this point and what did we do to deserve that big tease. The eight (and last) pictura, all I have to say is that you call that a chaotic workplace - much less messy room? Look's like an organized mess to me!
wow ! thank you very very much ! i must admit that i have no clue about taking photos and i´m happy that you like them but i feel a bit like an imposter :D i very much appreciate the positive feedback !! your comment really turned my morning coffee around - i was in grumble-mood but your good mood spilled over to me and i´m going to make a little dance now! the big ray gun on pictura nº7 is finished and i will post images laters ! :)
Welcome for the comment! ~^^~
Thanks for yer renewed enthusiam and for sharing the post now~

Very cool. Nice workshop too. Look forward to seeing more.
Wow! The guns look super cool! You are really creative to have come up with those cute design. And look at your studio, I think its a great type of chaos, with all the toys there, it's amazing!
I really look forward to seeing what you do next time, I am sure it will be mind-blowing!
How long did it take you to make those?
hey @audreybits thank you so much ! making the the guns was actually pretty quick - with such a big box of toys it was easy to find fitting pieces and glue them on. also i wasnt very complicated about it- i just happily glued everything together that pleased me.
and making the silvery metal effect using a dry brush and a bit of silver-acrylic paint - was really fast. it can be done in a few minutes. but the spray coating has to dry for a while so i usually let the black base layer dry for a night before i continue. seems to take a couple of days to finish something like this. the paint-job of gun in the first photo is not finished - i later added rust and some heat-effects at the barrel etc. :) will upload new stuff later!

Great idea and wonderful results, but there is one thing that I totally liked in your post: "the sound lego does when rummaging!" Mate, I am there with you, rummaging through my legos!
yay let´s all rummage those legos like there is no tomorrow ! :) a friend of mine popped by in the studio and he was gone rummaging and building airplanes for hours. my studio is kinda open door on street level so another friend popped by and now i had two guys rummaging in the box.sound was like Lego Niagara Falls and i had to literally elbow my way to the box ! :D
I love those creations and you did such an amazing work😊😊

hey thank you very much - glad you like them !
this is pretty cool!
hey many thanks !!
What!? You make toy guns, too? Do you sell this stuff or are you doing it just for fun?
hey trincowski ! yup i changed profession -now i am a gun-smith ! :D and i think it´s both - for fun and if someone wants to buy them then well...i sure sell them... even if it will be very tough to separate myself from my babies... :D
Your studio really looks like an artist's nest. Like you can glance at whichever direction and you'll still see something that might inspire the creative process.
The toy guns that you made really look like professional quality. And the best of all is you're making them just for fun. Win Win :D.
hey scrawly thank you so much ! having huge fun doing them and i´m very pleased that you say they look professional !! yay! :)
Looks quite the transformer hahaha but great modifications do yoy sell these?

hey shaheerbari thank you so much ! yeah i will probably sell them in the studio - it´s like a little shop and studio at the same time - people can come in and see me playing with my legos :D some visitors that have seen me making the guns have already signaled interest - but i want to first finish at least 5 guns before i put them on display.
Woow👍👏Nice craft. Like the design and SFX

hi @papersmell
I liked it when you said that sometimes drawing and painting that you love so much are transformed into a repetitive routine and then you need something new (even in the art happens !!) to give new energy to your creativity. I have read that creativity is a mental attitude that must be cultivated, it is like a flexible thought characterized by the aptitude to explore and experiment with new things. It seems to me that it is precisely the right definition for you! Congralutations and thanks for sharing with us
hey @road2horizon many thanks ! and yes i agree - creativity is state of mind and it´s often tough to get into the right mood and feel joy in the creative process - specially when you need to be creative to pay the bills. one has to use all the tricks available to trick the brain into creative mode.
Yes - this is truly heaven! Thanks for showing your toys :)
hey patschwork ! yo it´s a true plastic heaven ! :D
Pretty cool dude!
My two nephews would love your studio.
My upper room as well is full of toy stuffs.
My two nephews are the masterminds of all of these.
hey thank you so much and wow i imagine they make awesome builds !
Oh yeah!
Pretty cool!
Thanks for sharing anyways.
Good luck!
