Strange blooms
As the sun fades the garden is bathed in darkness
Strange blooms grow silently towards the sky
Raising their heads in search of an ethereal light
I applied acrylic paint to paper, building up tints of green and blues. Highlights and finer details were added using lighter tints of acrylic paint.

You know, when it first was brought up, it happened to be at the time when steem was at its peak and so was my blog, had it stayed at least relatively close it would have been a definite. But now...it's not looking very likely :( Not completely off the table though.
I suppose It is a bit far for you, i'm based in the UK so not too long a flight.

Thank you @jlufer, yes I went for much softer colours in this piece. I tend to have a a more muted palette when using oils or acrylics for painting flowers.

I remember reading once about a moonlight garden with all white flowers to reflect the light and only blooms that released their fragrance at night. I imagine them glowing like yours :)
You can get a beautiful white jasmine that smells beautiful in the evenings.
I have that one, a fast growing night blooming jasmine, a confederate jasmine and an Arabian one with beautiful blooms. They make up for the gardenias that drop their gorgeous blooms in this area, how I wish they would grow beautifully here! Have you ever painted a gardenia? I would love to see if you have! That's by far one of my favorites!
No I've never painted one as i don't grow them- they are usually kept as houseplants in the UK because of our climate. They are gorgeous aren't they! They remind me a little of a cross between a camellia and a white rose.
I was unaware they were kept indoors in your area. They truly are a scented treat! Yes, they remind me of roses and camellias all bunched up with a handful of jasmines :)
good pastel, very impressive, i like impressionism concept, and i also painting with this concept. but i not used water colour, i use crayon or pastel to apply my painting
Thank you, it's completely acrylic paints but i mixed a soft palette so a similar effect to pastels.
