I ONLY SHARE my full process with you guys here on steemit.
Its been a while everyone! I have a BRAND NEW piece for you all today! :).
This was just finished for a client just a few hours ago and I wanted to share it with you all here today!
I will go through all my process, my references and by the end you should have a solid idea of how I did it!
First came the long process of finding a good reference, this first one was brought to me. He wanted a similar pose but I didn't really care for this one.
I obviously used some of its elements but I stumbled upon this on google!
It was perfect for what I had in mind, so this would become my main reference. Along with the Mizore pics.
So off I go!!!
Step 1. The initial sketch!!
I always start with a very loose sketch finding my framework in a way, this time I used blueline.
Step 2. Finding your lines.
Sometimes I make really clean line work... sometimes I don't.
Step 3. Flat colors.
Lol looking at it at this stage feels like FOREVER till im done, about 13 hours left to go to be exact ;).
Step 4. Beginning to paint.
Always the most crucial part in the beginning is to start finding all the shadows and blocking off things. I really want a softer look for this one so its pretty delicate work. I just under paint for now.
Step 5. Beginning the over paint.
Here you can see that I have already begun to over paint so spots! Like the hair and the nipples. even some of the couch. This is going to be a long process so I will probably be all over the place.
Step 6. Everything all mapped out?
Here you can see that I have everything colored and pretty much set in stone... Now begins the time to start really getting in there and fleshing this out.
Step 7. Changing tones.
Here you can see that her skin tone has gone a bit paler, she is from an anime and is supposed to be a vampire so I will slowly change the tone of her skin. You can see that more painting has been done.
Step 8. Bring on the cold.
It made even more sense to me that the piece be taken at night, so that means the whole thing needs to be cooler.. I loved the idea so here it is! Time to get painting again. Oh... and the couch no longer looks like a toddler made it hahah :P
Step 9. The flesh gets deep.
Just like any kind of painting digital painting is all about layering as well. Here you can see the flesh looking more fleshy because of shadow and highlights being added.
Step 10. DETAILSS!!
The last few steps are probably about half the entire process, I have to really get in there and start adding little details and refining things.. big important steps people.
Step 11. Its all in the legs.
I have been kinda all over the place for this next step but mainly in the legs! Creating the folds in the fabric and the little fibers... so much work to do still!! =D
FINISHED!!!
And now you have her.... about 14 hours later! My client was VERYYY happy with the results and so was I :). OH!! Here's an edited version also.
WHICH ONE DO YOU LIKE BETTER??
HERES THE MAGIC!!!!!
And also the speedpaint video as promised! :)
Well thats it for now! I hope you guys enjoyed the process. Thank you so much for following me! And if you haven't yet be sure to for lots more art and tutorials.

Awesome. So- super curious. How many hours did you log and what does something like this go for? I’m a tattoo artist, so I do commissioned art, but I feel like that is very different. Giving a follow for sure and I really love watching the speed paint. Thanks for posting! @nyctoinc
