RE: 600 Published Posts Later: I Guess I'm Here to Stay - Even If I Go Away

in #art6 years ago (edited)

Well, if it keeps on going like that where more people would rather delegate to support shit posts instead of the thousands of us here trying to make something of this place, the few thousand remaining will leave, and those people can earn nothing because that's what you get when you're being lazy.

Many (and I mean MANY) people who were here when I started have left due to lack of support and interest in their work and it's all because a few noobs decided it would be best to pay people to look away. Sometimes I think some of these bot owners work for Facebook or Google and did this to help bring the place down.

Sort:

With hope, I still think that the actions taken here have no real influence on the price of STEEM right now.

However yes, if you ignore that and look at the raft of content creators who've given up due to declining support as people choose for the lazy option that provides a little more income, whilst boosting SPofD to the top, it's a sad situation indeed.

What do we do? Soldier on and support those sticking at it, and pray that SMTs provide an alternative investment opportunity AND grow the network too.

Don't worry it will solve itself. As the ROI goes down because of competition. Only the legit content creators will stay for the community aspect. Even with $0 value on the STEEM currency this place is more entertaining than all the other platforms combined :D

Ha, true that.

It could be that ROI puts the shit posters off enough to make room for the genuine projects/post that deserve attention make the top. Here's hoping.

Thanks for good response.

Anyone want a good ROI? Better than anything in the entire universe?!

Invest in comments and building trust and relationships! The ROI on caring and building that up is higher than any little Token will give a person. That's what it always comes down to. On YouTube I have people that got inspired by my content. They decided to work themselves up and now many are millionaires. Can you calculate the ROI on millionaire friends? No you can't haha. But the value is there.

Or we can call it value flipping. You burn 1 STEEM to build a stronger relationship to another human. If you combine the caring aspect that 1 transaction is probably worth at least 5 STEEM in lifetime value. Since something you build up will explode in value. But yes this takes actual work to not just throw away money to all kinds of random places. But be there to build up a person and making lifetime relationships. That will last your whole life.

If the ROI goes down it's a bit like making a very strong metal. You always see what people that sticks around even when things are not very "profitable" in terms of some digital numbers. If you want a tree you really gotta go deep to create strong roots and all that happens very organically. You detect what people that comes around. The ROI to invest in other humans brains oh boy haha. The brain is the most valuable gadget on the planet. Tokens doesn't have brains. Connecting millions of brains and make them realize their potential here we talk amazing ROI.

I'm all about the comments and engagement for sure. There are plenty of folks here with little to invest, but a good brain producing content and interaction that for me, deserves reward in both replies and a cheeky upvote.

I'm with these guys, trying to get round their work, but always chipping in when they come and say hello. It's slow but steady, and for those that have a 2-5-10 year plan for this place, the good times will roll again and again.

It's still possible to scrape a positive ROI on a bot-stack, but just look at the comments on those posts - dismal.

Cheers man, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
