Armando Reverón was a Venezuelan painter who lived in the first half of the 20th century.
He was part of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Caracas, a group opposed to the prevailing arts academy in the country's capital at the beginning of the 20th century.
At the end of the year 2016, an exhibition of allusive painting was carried out to the master Reverón, in the Galleries of the Cultural Center Tulio Febres Cordero of Mérida, in which they showed their works a great amount of contemporary painters.
One of those masters was Ruben Molina, born in Mérida, who participated with the work motive of this article. His works can be followed in Instagram, in his account @rubenmolinaart
Having a great friendship with this master, I had the opportunity to acquire this beautiful work, which I want to share with you.
The characteristics of the painting are:
Title: Tribute to Armando Reverón
Dimensions: 100 cm x 100 cm
Materials: Oil on wood
Paint Technique: Dripping
In the photograph, to my right the master Rubén Molina and the picture of Reverón in full exhibition.
The image of Maestro Reverón was taken from the Internet, I do not know who the credits correspond to having taken the photograph in the year 1950.
Later on I will show you other pictures of the master Molina that are in my possession.
Best regards
