This is a pencil drawing of Frank Lloyd Wright’s design known Falling Water. It is located in Mill Run, Pennsylvania which is approximately 43 miles from Pittsburgh. In 1935, Wright designed the structure which was to be the family home of Liliane and Edgar Kaufman Sr., owner of Kaufmann’s Department Store. Yes...weekend home. Must be nice!!!
Following Edgar Sr.’s death in 1955, Edgar Kaufmann Jr. inherited Fallingwater, continuing to use it as a weekend retreat until the early 1960s. In 1963, Edgar Jr. donated the property to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. It attracts more than 160,000 visitors from across the world each year.
This was drawn on Strathmore, acid-free paper with Koh-I-Noor woodless pencils. Thanks for looking.
