Step by step sketching of Micheal Jackson '' The king of Pop ''

Hi great steemians,
It's a new week and am wishing everyone a happy week ahead.

Today, I switch my artwork to another great personality that I do admire much even though he is late.
We all know the popular king of Pop, an American singer and dancer, Micheal Jackson. He was the most popular musician in the world and the best selling music artist during the year of his death.
I admire him a lot even though I can't sing nor dance but today he crossed my mind again and I decided to have a sketch of him.

So here is my step by step sketching of Micheal Jackson '' The king of Pop '' and below is the final outcome of my work after all the steps.

Like I always said, it's important for all beginners to try doing something quite cool everyday so to be a bit perfect to artwork. Today, our first step took another dimension.

Materials I used: HB, 2B, 4B and 6B pencil, cotton bud to dress up the work and an eraser.

Step 1

Make a circle in an oval form for the area around the eye. Also notice how my own looks like and notice that the one on the right is a bit smaller than the one on the left.

Step 2

Draw and make a shape representing the the bottom of the nose and top lip and try perfect the spacing by being more careful here.

Step 3

Here, draw and add a contour like line to represent the shape around his face and observe that his head is turned towards his left as I have shown. Notice here also that the Oval shape of the left represented in step one is touching the contour line.

Step 4

Here, add up the shape for the ear and hair and observe closely how my own looks like to perfect yours incase if you want to try it out.

Step 5

Draw and add up four shapes to represent the neck and shirt region.

Step 6

Add up the eyes and eyebrows but observe closely how I did mine to avoid some mistakes.

Step 7

Here, observe how I added some curls to his hair. So, use your 4B pencil and add up more curls to his hair.

Step 8

What i did here was to show how I started the shading part of my artwork. It may actually not be necessary because the final outcome matters most here, I use HB, 4B and 6B pencil to do the shading.

Step 9

This is the final outcome of the whole process shaded with 4B and 6B pencil and dress up using cotton bud.

Practice they say makes perfect, artwork require alot of practice, so I guess you keep on trying all day for it
