It's been a while since I last shared about the painting of Acts I was working on, but I finished it, finally! This is the one of Peter raising up the lame man in Jesus' name, that is going to be on the cover of a book by Russell Stendal.
I got some fantastic comments from folks on my email list few weeks ago, when I mentioned something was off in the painting, and just for fun, to see if they could discover what it was.
And many people did.
Also, some said I should include a few other things that were not there. So I did add one thing that someone mentioned--the bowl for the beggar's money--a great idea. I can't remember who made that comment...but to whoever it was I say, "Thank you!"
Here is the progression of the painting, from start to finish...
Lastly, here is the finished painting!
"Strength to Rise," 16 x 20, acrylic on canvas.
Have a blessed day,

WOW, much talent! I always have such an interest in talented artists and I am a closet art lover haha . . my house has quite a few paintings. I love the way you show it from the beginning to the end.
I have such respect for quality artists. I have zero drawing or painting ability lol
Thank you, Shawn! The world needs art appreciators as well as art creators! :)
Wow, wonderful. I'm christian too and can say this is one of the best paintings with christian motif I've seen. Personal relation!
Thank you, Jnart. I see your avatar image--is that related to a CS Lewis story?
