Really awesome! I am sharpening my skills. Hopefully, I can be as good as you someday.
Hope your surgery goes well.

I have seen your baby portrait (and voted):)
If I'm allowed to give a super tiny advice: start portrait drawings with building the general shapes, like circles (human scull includes three of them if it's a profile, for example) and with searching where the main lines are ( three lines divide face to three equal pieces, from hair line to nose bridge, from nose bridge to lips and from lips to where chin ends. If will help you to keep the parts of face where the really are:) Plus the distance between the eyes is as big, as one eye (check out of your own face if front of the mirror:). Lips start on the perpendicular from the eye pupils centers if you look straight and don't smile.Line of the ear is top - where the eye brows are, and bottom - where the lips are. There're a lot of such tricks that can help you to draw a "general" face, and then you can work with specific facial features to make your model recognizable:)

Thanks so much for this advice! I am self-taught so things like this will help me terrifically! I will put it to use immediately.

If you have them in your city I would advice to look for Andrew Loomis books. He explains like a God, really simple and useful. For books like "fun with pencil".
P.S. I'm self-taught too:)

Thank you, that is a wonderful resource! I found them all free at alexhays.com . You can read or download for free there. Awesome! Thanks again!

You're most welcome:) I prefer paper editions, I love to put marks in study books:)
