So I am actually currently in the Netherlands since I need to get some paper work ready for a pretty cool research opportunity in China.
Yesterday I went to the Hague which is the political capital of the Netherlands. Amsterdam is of course the capital of the Netherlands but the government (see picture below) , embassies, the international court and the sort are located in the Hague.
There are plenty of wonderful musea in the Hague. An absolute must see is the Gemeente Museum. It has a pretty nice collection of Mondriaan paintings. I guess you might recognise Mondriaan from this art piece.
It is victory boogie woogie which is the last work by Mondriaan. It is actually unfinished. But let's go back in time a bit. And look at an earlier painting.

It is a bit blurry, many rough strokes. If we go back a bit further in time then you can see Mondriaan's art started from die hard realism:
So many styles all painted by one person.
