💧 WATER ART - Introduction (2/3) - This Is Marty-arts

Hello Steemians!

This is the second part of our small introduction for Water-art project. I am really happy @jnart invited me to share my experience and knowledge through blogs and maybe vlogs.

I started with watercolors partly thanks to Steemit. I always liked watercolor paintings and it seemed to me really hard to paint with them, because everytime I remembered how I hated to use them at school. You know, that paper swelling, pilling, unwanted color mixing and so on. I used acrylic paint more, but half a year ago I wanted to try something different. I realised I need quality tools to have better results, so I started to try different types of paper and paints until I felt it is good enough.

I paint mostly flowers, animals and portraits, sometimes a landsape. I think when you are good at drawing or painting with acrylic or oils, you are able to learn watercolors quite fast, because there are some regularities for all kinds of visual arts. However, if you are a beginner in art, you can also learn to handle watercolors after a short time. You just need to choose the right technique of painting and the right subjects.

I started with simple animal painting according to a painted picture. Then I tried also some flowers, portraits.. Here are some examples of my work.

Water art project brings you a big opportunity to learn the technique with skilled artists step by step and for free (maybe just for your upvote ;) ). So, when I sumarize it, you can look forward to:

  • step by step tutorials of flower painting
  • how to paint portraits
  • simple painting of simple objects
  • combine pen drawing with watercolors
  • using acrylic paint as watercolors

Holy cheese balls!!!! You are incredibly talented. Keep up the epic work.

I honestly really love water art, it gives out that unique touch and look :)

This is amazing and these pieces are so inspiring!!

Bravo @marty-arts, can't wait to start with tutorials :)

Fantastic works, @marty-arts :)

@marty-arts as always you have wonderful paintings, it will be interesting to follow your project.

thank you! I love your paintings too :) hope you will find some useful information and I am sure we can learn from each other :)

Can not wait!!! Your art is beautiful and I really ant to learn to use watercolors correctly. Will you have contests to go along with your tutorials? I noticed some of the contests feel like classes; that is why I ask. Might also help generate interest:)

there will be also some contests too.. this is just the beginning, but after some time we will interact with the comunity more.. even through contests :)

Maybe instead you could just have people taking your class to use a special tag to show they are doing their homework, lol! No extra work for you but a way to see what others are doing, and they can grade each other by upvoting:)

Hi, thanks for posting your beautiful artworks. You show a wide range of subject matter - animals, landscapes, portraits, flowers... Water colors have such a fresh look. I look forward to seeing more of your artwork.

Wow... this is so nice... keep up the good work!
